Cloud ERP provider FinancialForce.com has launched major advances in financial visibility and business intelligence capabilities for FinancialForce ERP. The company added more breadth and depth to its online querying and reporting arsenal including ViewThru financial components, which allows companies to extend their financial chart of accounts to any object on the Salesforce App Cloud, and FinancialForce ERP Wave apps.

Profitability of ‘Anything’

Businesses can now easily track and see the financial impact on any aspect of their operations, including customers, employees, cases, projects and campaigns, by linking or sub-analyzing their chart of accounts with object elements on the Salesforce App Cloud. The sub-analysis can be displayed using financial widget components, which can be easily embedded in other applications, to ViewThru to general ledger information.

Using ViewThru, customers can drag and drop a profitability widget onto the layout of a customer account view in Salesforce CRM, and see an immediate inline analysis of customer profitability without running a report. This financial analysis capability allows smarter, faster decision-making.

Practical and Insightful Reporting Tools

The new release of FinancialForce ERP also adds Action Views to the Financial Management application. Action Views, an ad hoc querying and analysis tool, empowers users to examine their data in a sleek and seamless manner. With its Excel-like interface and familiarity, users can locate the needed information with minimal clicks and keystrokes. Action Views go beyond traditional general ledger drill down capabilities. Users can “drill-around” from financials to CRM, or other objects sitting on one combined CRM and ERP cloud.

The new FinancialForce Financial Management also adds FinancialForce XL Plus, allowing users to work more productively with Microsoft Excel for financial statements and other reports. Using FinancialForce XL Plus, users can securely authenticate to FinancialForce ERP, choose from dozens of pre-defined templates, or any Salesforce App Cloud report, and pull it into Excel.

FinancialForce ERP Wave Apps

Today, FinancialForce.com also announced pilots of two FinancialForce ERP Wave Apps — FinancialForce Accounting Wave App and FinancialForce Supply Chain Wave App. Powered by the Salesforce Wave Analytics Platform, these apps incorporate and analyze financial and supply chain performance data, allowing business users to gain insight of the entire customer journey, from any device.

“Reporting is the most critical job of a financial system,” said Tom Brennan, senior vice president of marketing at FinancialForce.com. “FinancialForce ERP gives companies an unprecedented array of tools and methods to capture and report financial metrics. Companies can now extend their chart of accounts to include information elements from other applications, such as customers, cases or marketing campaigns. We give companies the competitive edge by providing them a virtually unlimited number of ways to analyze their business.  This is the modern way of providing financial intelligence throughout an organization.”
